房屋局局长何永贤在活动开幕典礼上表示:根据行政长官在2024年《施政报告》有关建筑机械人应用的项目指标,房委会会在合约标书中明确规定可使用建筑机械人的工序部分,以提升工地安全和建造效率。而今日的主角就是『房屋建筑机械人——油漆大师比拼赛』的油漆机械人。使用建筑机械人不仅能进一步提升作业效率和质量,更可为前线工人提供更安全和健康的工作环境,提升产业技术层次及专业形象,增强对青年专业人才的吸引力。最新实例显示,在一个公营房屋项目中,使用油漆机械人辅助系统可以将室内油漆施工效率提升50%以上,并改善施工品质。以一个标准层有24个单位之公营房屋项目爲例,传统施工方式需配置8名专业技术工人进行墙面处理作业,引进机械人辅助系统后,仅需两名操作人员即可完成相同工作量。
At the opening ceremony, Housing Bureau Director Carol Ho Wing Yin said, "In accordance with the Chief Executive's 2024 Policy Address on the project indicators for the application of construction robots, the Housing Committee will stipulate in the contract bidding documents the construction processes where construction robots can be used to enhance site safety and construction efficiency. Today's star is the painting robot of the "House Building Robot - Paint Master Competition". The use of construction robots can not only further improve the efficiency and quality of operations but also provide frontline workers with a safer and healthier working environment, enhance the technological level and professional image of the industry, and increase its attractiveness to young professional talents. The latest examples show that in a public housing project, the use of a painting robot-assisted system can increase the efficiency of interior painting construction by more than 50%, and improve the quality of construction. Taking a public housing project with 24 units per standard floor as an example, traditional construction methods require eight professional technical workers for wall treatment operations. After introducing the robot-assisted system, only two operators are needed to complete the same amount of work."

As early as 2019, Bright Dream had joined hands with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to establish a joint research institute to promote in-depth industry-academia-research cooperation and accelerate the implementation of robot technology in the construction field. The Housing Committee had already foreseen the maturity and potential of robot technology. By explicitly requiring the use of robot construction in bidding documents, and relying on Hong Kong's stable large-scale housing projects and diverse application scenarios, it successfully attracted mainland robot enterprises to participate in public housing construction. With its early-mover advantage and technological accumulation, Bright Dream took the lead in this trend.

In accordance with the competition evaluation criteria, Bright Dream indoor spraying robot shone in the competition. Finally, at the "House Building Robot - Paint Master Competition", a panel of judges consisting of Carol Ho, representatives from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Construction Industry Council, and industry experts, scored the participating robots. Bright Dream won the championship with its excellent technical performance, high productivity, high-quality paint coating, and outstanding safety performance.
